Ann Macfarlane began her career as a diplomat in Pakistan and on the Soviet desk of the U.S. State Department. She then became a Russian translator and was elected president of the American Translators Association. She created Jurassic Parliament in 2000 to help boards make better decisions using Robert’s Rules and dinosaurs. Ann has trained thousands of nonprofit leaders and elected officials across the nation. With Andrew Estep she is the author of Mastering Council Meetings: A Guidebook for Elected Officials and Local Governments.
