    Having a Communications strategy is crucial. And in the 21st century, your plan must include social media. This session will help you figure out your branding, goal setting and target marketing. You will also learn how to budget for maximum success, while evaluating the best platforms for your specific outreach. And finally, you will learn how to track and measure your success.


    Britta Jackson, Co-Owner and Brand Strategist, alder|creative

    Britta JacksonBritta Jackson has started multiple small businesses, including local marketing and design agency, alder|creative. Her interest in business stems from a love for organization and the challenge of spreading the word about new and exciting products or services.

    She has worked in a variety of for-profit and not-for-profit organizations around the PNW, both large and small (from Microsoft to the Thurston EDC to Grays Harbor College to The Woodland Park Zoo). She worked in partnership with the Washington Small Business Development Center to gain her degree in Entrepreneurial Business from Western Washington University in 2006 and has extensive experience in marketing, event planning and small business start ups.

    Britta lives in Aberdeen and operates alder|creative with her husband, Eric, while also pursuing other entrepreneurial endeavors to help build the local economy.
